Crack Rock Demolition is the fastest, most powerful and economical expansive controlled demolition agent of its kind. It is made of a safe, non-toxic powdered mixture of natural minerals. When mixed with water and poured into pre-drilled holes it will expand at an incredible force of over 20,000 PSI which is able to break any strength of rock or concrete.

Customer Testimonial

A customer up in the beautiful cottage country of Parry Sound Ontario needed to crack a rock that was preventing their contractor from completing a project.  So, after learning of Crack Rock Demo they decided to give it a try.

Before and After View of Rock

CRD: “What brought you to using Crack Rock Demo?”

Jeff: “Well we are getting some work done, and the contractor said he needed 25% of a large rock removed. So I wanted a product that I could use myself, and not have to rely on abunch of tools or equipment. We got the breaking and removal of the rock quoted to us and it was an amount we thought was absurd. So after some research we came across the Crack Rock Demolition. Looking through the steps and process and the required material I thought ‘I can do that’”.

CRD: You had to rent a Pionjar rock drill, had you any experience with it before, or operating this type of machinery?”

Jeff: “Never, nothing out of the typical tools I mean. It was the most difficult part of the job. That being said though it still wasn’t too difficult though I found. Heavier than expected and was tough to get the drill started, both the machine itself as well as the hole, because the machine would sort of bounce off of the spot I am trying to get going. After a bit of practice though it became easier and easier”

CRD: “What were your initial thoughts on the product itself, have you seen or had any exposure to this type or product?”

Jeff: “To be honest I was skeptical at first, seeing this powder in a bag I wasn’t sold that it would be enough to break the rocks I required. That being said of course after seeing pictures and videos online I thought I would give it a go”

CRD: “What was it like to use the Crack Rock Demo mixture? Did it work as expected?”

Crack Rock Demo Result. Large Rock spilt in 2

Jeff: “Mixing it up and everything was all very straightforward; I really just followed the instructions from start to finish and did not have much guess work at all. I think I may have made the mixture a little bit too watery, but it still got the job done. After about 24 hours after pouring the compound – there was just a hairline fracture running the side of the rock from top to bottom. Another 18 hours or so it had widened to about an inch. And just 12 hours after that it had broken through completely. There was no dramatic crash or explosion or anything, we just sort of came back to it and it had finished splitting.

CRD: “It sounds like overall you had a good experience with the product, would you use again if and or when the situation arises?”

Jeff: “Absolutely, I purchased a larger bag than I needed for the sole purpose of having more for future jobs, or if any of the neighbours around the area need some as well. So long as I don’t get it wet – should last a very long time! I am very happy with not only the results of the Crack Rock Demo, but also the  instructions and service to go along with it.”

Benefits Of Crack Rock Demo

  • Increases productivity and safety.
  • Reduces labor costs, pollution and removal time.
  • Safe, environmentally friendly and gentle.
  • Clean, efficient and cost- efficient.
  • Non-explosive, non-impact and non-flammable.
  • No special training, equipment or licenses required.
  • Transportation restrictions are gone.
  • No vibration, flying debris, toxic gases or noise.
  • Allows access to areas where heavy machinery and explosives are prohibited.

Crack Rock Demolition is a soundless and safe demolition agent that is quite different from ordinary demolition agents such as explosives and dangerous materials. It does not cause any fly rock, noise, ground vibration, gas, dust or any other environmental pollution when used properly. As requirements for demolishing rock and reinforced concrete in construction increase in tight quarters, the use of explosives and explosive agents is becoming more restricted. For safety and environmental pollution problems  Crack Rock Demolition is the solution.

OilQuick Install

by CRD November 20, 2017

In the month of November our mechanics worked hand in hand with our customer Hard-Co Construction. Together CRD and Hard-Co worked on another multi day job of installing their new OilQuick Automatic Quick Coupler System to their machine.

OilQuick Installation

The Job

Hard- Co Construction Is Based Out Of Whitby Ontario. Serving The Durham And Surrounding Areas Their High Reputation For Quality Work Is Well Founded And Deserved. Hard-Co Brought In Their Brand New CAT 315 Hydraulic Excavator To Be Equipped With An OilQuick OQ 65. The OQ 65 Is Designed For A Medium Sized Excavator Within The 8-18 T Range.

The System

The OilQuick Automatic Quick Coupler Attachment is a product that is gaining popularity quickly. It allows for the operator to change an attachment in just 10-20 seconds! This allows the machine to always be equipped with the right tool to tackle every job situation. Not only does this increase the machines versatility and efficiency, but also it’s profitability as well as operator safety.

Though the system is phenomenal in its own right, there are other supplements and options that can be added onto the unit. These add-ons are for extra security or specific needs such as a high power connection for a magnet, a lock support and much more. This allows for a more customized attachment while also keeping the costs down on the initial coupler system.

The Process

The first step is of course to purchase an OilQuick system, and have a machine available you wish to turn into a Swiss Army Knife. Once ready the pro couplers are then mounted. After the couplers are ready the wiring is completed for the hydraulic lock kit as well as the depressurization kit. Once complete the valves for the mount lock and the depressurization valve are installed, followed by plumbing for both. The last step is to install the lock switch in the cab, test and you are complete! Now this of course is a very simple and brief explanation of the steps involved. There are numerous steps throughout the process that on average will take two days to complete.

C-REX: King of Wear Parts

by CRD October 26, 2017
C-Rex

Combi’s newest is called the C-REX Tooth System that is produced in Sweden. This newly developed system has been put through extensive testing. The system was used in Europe in a granite quarry for over a year and a half! The results that came back proved to be excellent thanks to many of the new systems innovative features.

New Pin System

It has a unique locking system that requires no hammer at all! Instead it requires a tool which fits into the locking ring and turned one-quarter turn in order to lock it. The test bucket went through 15 sets of teeth during it’s 1.5 year test. Going through 15 sets of teeth, the original pin used from the very start showed signs of very minimal wear, proving the pin systems longevity ensuring you can reuse it for the lifetime of the system.

Adapter Wear

Though the lip and adapter legs were quite worn out, the adapter nose was still in extremely good shape and still fit with new teeth to go along with very little wear in the pin hole as well.

Combi Wear Parts and Creighton are both more than impressed with the system and know you will be too!

Mincon PPV Spiral Flush Logo

Mincon has been developing down the hole hammer tools for 40 years now with work site experience across all continents! They continue to strive with their world class testing and development partners that has allowed them to create new innovations and be at the forefront of the latest manufacturing technology.

Down The Hole Hammer

DTH drills a straight pile into any ground including bed rock. The depths can reach over 100 m covering from 89 mm diameter to over 1500 mm at any angle required.

Mincon Taking DTH Drilling To The Next Level

The new Spiral Flush product range has a redesigned face of the drilling bit as to have a flushing arrangement crosswise to the drilling direction.

This allows the air flow to be controller and prevent over drilling as well as air escape. This allows for DTH drilling to be taken to more urban areas and harbor construction without disturbing the environment surrounding it.

Mincon has been able to not only control the flushing of DTH drilling, but also improved the productivity of the bits at the same time.
