Foothills Steel Foundry

Foothills Steel Foundry have been manufacturing world class wear parts for over 65 years.  They have an exemplary reputation for high quality steel castings, professional service & product support, and some of the best wear life in industry.

The Irving family has owned and operated FSF through 4 generations, since 1947. Foothills Steel Foundry has grown to have branch and dealer stocking locations throughout Canada, USA, Australia and New Zealand. Their customer list includes multi-national concrete and aggregate producers. As well as large and small mining companies, equipment manufacturers and service providers, engineering designers and workshops. Including quarry operators ranging from 10 million to a few thousand tons per annum.

Their specialty is in casting wear resistant alloys (including Manganese, High Chrome and custom alloys). They have an extensive catalogue of crusher manganese and chrome castings, crusher mainframe components (bonnets, cone heads, and jaw stocks), wear parts. Used in aggregate, concrete producers, power stations and dredging equipment, and other high wear industries.

FSF has a casting capacity up to 9,000kg finished weight and a volume exceeding 500,000kg per month. They also have machining, finishing and assembly facilities in-house. Thus allowing FSF to heat treat, machine and assemble more complex cast parts. Including P&H shovel gear racking, bonnets, cone heads, crusher mainframe components, and entire crushers.

They work hard to understand how their parts perform in the real world. Using the latest technology, they can track wear life and wear patterns. That information feeds back into their manufacturing systems to continually improve processes, products, service and most importantly, value to their customers.
